About us:

We have reported the role of the triphosphohydrolase SAMHD1 as a determinant of chemoresistance in acute myeloid leukemia (Nat. Med. 23(2):250-255 (2017); Nat. Commun. 10(1):3475 (2019); Commun. Biol. 3(1):324 (2020)). We have recently identified small molecule inhibitors of SAMHD1 that chemosensitize leukemic blasts and highly malignant solid tumors to specific nucleoside analogs. We employ state-of-the art molecular, biochemical and immunological approaches to explore the activity of these inhibitors in cell lines, primary cells, organotypic tumor cultures and small animal models.

Postdoctoral Position in tumor chemosensitization (m/f/x)

in Munich

Your tasks and responsibilities:

We expect a strong interest in translational, interdisciplinary oncology, the ability to perform creative and independent research, and a high level of motivation.

Your qualifications:

The successful candidate will have an outstanding publication record preferably with practical experience in oncology. Previous work with primary cells, molecular biology and biochemistry will be of advantage.
