Professor Christof Rapp works primarily on ancient philosophy and its relationship to modern debates in metaphysics, ethics, action theory, argumentation theory and moral psychology. Another focus of his research is ancient rhetoric.
We are looking for you:
in Munich
The appointee will be expected (i) to do philosophical research in the field of ancient Greek or Latin philosophy (ii) to teach five hours a week in areas of the chair, (iii) to participate in the organisation of other duties from the chair, and (iv) to pursuit an advanced postdoctoral research project (e.g., a Habilitation).
The successful candidate (i) will have a PhD in philosophy, (ii) will have teaching experience in philosophy, and (iii) will have done research in ancient philosophy (preferably Plato, Aristotle, Hellenistic Philosophy). Willingness to learn German and eventually teach in German is appreciated.
