About us:

We are the Institute for Marketing at the Munich School of Management of the Ludwig-Maximilians-University Munich. We offer cutting-edge teaching and research in the areas of consumer behavior, research methodology and data quality. Research topics include the influence of context and environment on decision-making behavior, the effect of sensory influences in brick-and-mortar retail, and the potential uses of artificial intelligence in market research.

We are looking for you:

Research Assistant (m/f/x)

in Munich

Your tasks and responsibilities:

  • Research in the field of marketing and consumer behavior
  • You will independently supervise and teach courses (exercises and/or seminars in German and English at Bachelor's and Master's level amounting to 5 SWS).
  • Supervision of students
  • Performing organizational and administrative tasks, for example managing the “Marketing Innovation Circle” our student support program

Your qualifications:

  • You have a Master's degree in economics, business psychology, or comparable disciplines, with a focus on marketing or empirical methods with distinction.
  • You have a keen interest in empirical research and quantitative research methods.
  • You want to deliver top performance in research and teaching.
  • Knowledge of Python or R is an advantage but not essential.
  • You have a good command of written and spoken English in order to supervise English-language courses and produce publications.
  • You are characterized by initiative, communication skills, the ability to work in a team and a confident manner, even under pressure.
