Our group develops new materials and techniques to study nanoscale energy conversion phenomena. We perform chemical and physical synthesis of novel catalysts [Nature Catalysis, 6, 1205–14, 2023], develop methods to investigate their key properties and behavior at the nanoscale [Nature, 630, 872–77, 2024], and strive to gain a detailed understanding of their working principles and mechanisms in energy conversion [Nature Physics, 20, 1065–77, 2024]. While our research has primarily focused on plasmonic and photonic structures for catalysis [Nature, 614, 230-232, 2023], we also explore electro, thermal, and photocatalytic materials and processes.
