The Chair for Pharmaceutical Chemistry, located at the Department of Pharmacy – Centre for Drug Research focuses its research on instrumental pharmaceutical analysis and molecular drug research. It therefore plays an important bridging role within the interdisciplinary HighTechCampus Großhadern/Martinsried. The outstanding candidate is expected to represent the entire and broad field of Pharmaceutical Chemistry in research and teaching (Staatsexamen Pharmazie and Bachelor/Master Pharmaceutical Sciences), with a research focus on molecular drug research that further strengthens the faculty and university. Exemplary research topics are modern instrumental drug and bio analytics, development and characterization of macromolecular drugs, development and application of computer-aided drug design methods, and structure-guided drug design.
Prerequisites for this position are a university degree related to the field of pharmaceutical chemistry, a doctoral degree or a comparable specific qualification, teaching skills at university level, excellent academic achievements and a productive and promising research program. International visibility, strong third-party funding and specific expertise in methods of molecular drug research that enable broad collaboration within the HighTechCampus Großhadern/Martinsried are expected.
