About us:

We study the circadian clock in bacteria as part of a small international consortium. We are located at the inner city Munich campus of the medical faculty near the center of the city. Our international group is friendly, open and team-oriented. We are supported by grants from the European Research Council as well as the German Science Foundation.

We are looking for you:

Administrative Coordinator for the MicroClock consortium (m/f/x)

in Munich

Your tasks and responsibilities:

  • Administration of third-party funding for the chronobiology team here at the LMU
  • manage contracts, orders, budget and personnel matters
  • Organization and coordination of meetings, seminars and events
  • Communication and correspondence in German and English
  • Contact person for internal and external consortium employees as well as guests.

Your qualifications:

  • Completed training in the administration/office area (a university degree or a comparable qualification is an advantage)
  • Several years of experience in an administrative position, ideally in an academic area
  • Excellent organizational skills, ability to work independently and strong team spirit
  • Experience with budget planning, human resources management and administrative tasks is a plus
  • Sound knowledge of common MS Office applications (Word, Excel, Powerpoint)
  • Experience in organizing scientific events is an advantage
  • Very good knowledge of German and English, both spoken and written.
