About us:

At the Max von Pettenkofer Institute for Medical Microbiology and Hygiene at Ludwig-Maximilians- Universität München (city center), we are offering an exciting position as Lab and Research Manager to support the experimental research activities of the Wendling Lab.

We are looking for you:

Lab and Research Manager (f/m/d) with expertise in BSL2-level work, phage biology, molecular biology, and microbiology

in Munich

Your tasks and responsibilities:

  • Organization and management of laboratory operations (BSL2), including procurement and logistics
  • Administrative support and coordination within the research group
  • Assistance with microbiological and molecular biology experiments

Your qualifications:

  • Completed vocational training (e.g. BTA, MTLA, VMTA) or a university degree (Bachelor/Master) in microbiology, molecular biology, or a related discipline
  • Experience working with BSL2 organisms
  • Proficiency in microbiological and molecular biology techniques
  • Excellent written and spoken English; German language skills are an asset
  • Strong organizational skills, ability to work independently, and a team-oriented mindset
