Research Infrastructure Coordinator, Scientific Core Facilities Coordinator (m/f/x)

in Planegg-Martinsried

Your tasks and responsibilities:

This position is part of a two-year project aimed at optimizing the organization, governance, and visibility of LMU’s Core Facilities to enhance research efficiency and international competitiveness.
The successful candidate will work closely with faculty members, Core Facility managers, and external partners to assess the current landscape, develop best practices, and implement sustainable operational models. As part of this project, you will assess and improve existing Core Facility structures, implement best practices, develop governance models, and facilitate industry collaborations.

Your qualifications:

  • You should have a PhD in life sciences or a related field, experience in working in a Core Facility, and a strong understanding of research infrastructure and data management.
  • Excellent organizational, project management, and communication skills are essential, along with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels.
  • Familiarity with funding mechanisms and industry-academia partnerships as well as a good knowledge of German is a plus.
