About us:

We are studying the role of extracellular vesicles in regulating immune responses.
This third-party funded project (DFG) will investigate how extracellular vesicles interact with immune cells and how they promote T and B cell responses. We have developed reagents that allow us to study extracellular vesicles and their target cells in vivo and in vitro using state-or-the-art methodology, such as STROM superresolution microscopy, imaging flow cytometry and scRNAseq.

We are looking for you:

PhD student in biomedical research (m/f/x)

in Planegg-Martinsried

Your tasks and responsibilities:

  • Plan and conduct experiments independently.
  • Maintain accurate records of research findings and the analysis of results.
  • Help prepare manuscripts for publication.
  • Present research findings at meetings.
  • Supervise undergraduate students as appropriate.

Your qualifications:

  • Master’s degree (or equivalent) in life sciences,
  • Highly motivated candidate who has already basic knowledge of molecular immunology and is open for new technologies,
  • Ability to work independently and goal-oriented,
  • Experience in flow cytometry, cell culture, molecular biology and in vivo models,
  • Excellent communication skills and fluency in English (spoken and written),
  • Candidates are expected to work well in an interactive and cooperative scientific environment, display intellectual curiosity and strong commitment to research.
