In the winter semester 2025/26, we will continue our tutorial program for compulsory courses of the Bachelor's degree program (B.Sc.) in Economics.
Our tutorial program is financed by state subsidies for the improvement of study conditions and supplements the central compulsory modules of the economics course with optional tutorials. Under the guidance of advanced students, participants can delve deeper into the content of lectures and exercises and practice the most important concepts with additional exercises.
We are therefore looking for candidates to serve as tutors for the following courses: Microeconomics (according to the 2025 examination regulations), Mathematics for Micro (accompanying Microeconomics), Econometrics 2 (R), and Public Policy and Resource Allocation (Fiwi 1).
Note: Students studying under the 2013 regulations are welcome and encouraged to apply for tutorial positions in courses offered under the 2025 regulations (e.g., if you have completed Mikro 1, you can tutor Microeconomics / Mathematics for Micro).
We are looking for you:
in Munich
In the two-hour tutorial sessions, questions related to the lecture and exercise classes will be answered and, if necessary, the concepts used will be explained again. In addition to the actual tutorial hours, tutors are available to correct voluntary homework assignments submitted by students in their tutorial group. Tutors are also expected to compile a list of questions and exercises, which can be discussed in the tutorials once all student questions have been addressed. Each tutor will be responsible for covering one to two chapters of the lecture material.
You have already successfully completed one of the compulsory courses listed above with above-average results (for courses under the new examination regulations or Master Students, a comparable course is sufficient) and are majoring in Economics. If you are interested in teaching economic methods and supporting fellow students academically, we look forward to receiving your application.
To prepare for the tutorial position, a communication skills seminar will be held before the start of the lecture period (either October 8–9, 2025 or October 9–10, 2025; total duration approx. 1.5 days). Participation in one of the two seminars is mandatory for all tutors. Please apply only if you are able to attend the seminar
We offer a student assistant contract running from October 13, 2025 to February 6, 2026, with a workload of approximately 10 hours per week and a monthly salary of €607.88
Working hours can be arranged flexibly, except for the two hours per week of scheduled tutorials.
The Faculty of Economics is committed to promoting gender equality in study, research, and teaching, and encourages female students to apply for this position.
People with disabilities who are equally as qualified as other applicants will receive preferential treatment.
Applications must be submitted online via our application portal. For your application, we require your transcript of records, a CV, and a brief letter of motivation.
We look forward to receiving your application!
