About us:

We are the working group „Translational Cancer Immunology“ at the Gene Center of the LMU Munich. The Laboratory develops immunotherapies for malignant neoplasia, with a special focus on acute leukemia and B-cell lymphoma. We seek to better understand mechanisms of action and resistance with the goal to identify predictive biomarkers for selecting the suitable immunotherapy for each individual patient.

We are looking for you:

PostDoc with Teaching / Coordinating Responsibilities (m/f/x)

in Munich

Your tasks and responsibilities:

  • Being part of the study coordination of the Master Program “Human Biology - Principles in Health and Disease”supported by the “Elite Networkof Bavaria”
  • Organization and supervision of practical courses and seminars for Master students (focus: cell biology, tumor immunology, multicolor flow cytometry, bioinformatics)
  • Supervision of Master and PhD students includingtheses reviews
  • Presentation of researchresults at nationaland international congresses
  • Design and performance of experiments & integration into existing researchactivities
  • Actively contribute to scientific literature by developing abstractsand manuscripts

Your qualifications:

  • PhD in the field of life science with interest in translational research
  • Strong background in immunology and molecular oncology
  • Solid practical experience in multicolor flow cytometry, RNA sequencing and T-cell biology
  • Knowledge in Bioinformatics, Multiomics/Proteomics and organoid models is an asset
  • Commitment and a self-directed way of working
  • Team player with well-developed interpersonal abilities
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Excellent communication skills in English

Benefits:

Working in an excellent team with clinically oriented research in the field of immunotherapy. The position is initially limited to two years (with the option of extension) and should begin 01.10.2023. Remuneration is based on the Collective Agreement for the Public Sector of the Länder (TV-L) including all allowances customary in the public sector.

Also possible in a part-time capacity.
