We are seeking a highly motivated and talented PhD candidate to join the newly established Neuroepigenetics and Data Science group of Prof. Alena van Bömmel at the Biomedical Center of the Medical Faculty of the LMU. Our group develops new algorithms for multi-omics data integration at the intersection of data science and neuroepigenetics, aiming to unravel the complex mechanisms underlying brain cell function and neurodegenerative diseases. We are offering a PhD position (65%) for three years focusing on the development of algorithms for multi-omics data integration in the context of neuroepigenetics. The successful candidate will work on a project investigating the epigenetic regulatory mechanisms in neurodegenerative diseases using multi-omics single-cell and bulk sequencing data.
