We are seeking an internationally recognized personality, whose research focuses on a topic in the area of theoretical ecology. Excellent publication record and successful acquisition of third-party funding are expected. Involvement of research in planned research networks, such as on the topic “Adaptations to changing environments” is an advantage.
In teaching, the professorship is involved in the bachelor's and master's degree programs and in teacher training at the Faculty of Biology.
The Faculty of Biology is located at the Biocenter of the Campus Martinsried, together with other Institutes of LMU Munich, Max-Planck-Institutes and the Innovation- and Start-up Center Biotechnolgy (IZB). The Faculty of Biology has climate chambers, outdoor areas for ecological experiments and service units for high-performance computing, genomics, bioanalytics, electron microscopy, light microscopy, proteomics and metabolomics.
Prerequisites for this position are a university degree, a doctoral degree or a comparable specific qualification, teaching skills at university level, excellent academic achievements and a productive and promising research program.
