About us:

Metaphysics is the central foundational discipline of philosophy with diverse connections to all other to all other areas in the field. From 2024-07-01 Prof. Dr. Alyssa Ney is the new holder of the chair.

We are looking for you:

Assistant Professor (m/f/x)

in Munich

Your tasks and responsibilities:

  • Research in the field of Metaphysics
  • Teaching (Bachelor and Master courses) with a teaching load of 5 semester hours per week
  • Collaboration in the research activities of the chair (co-organization of workshops, participation in scientific exchange, administrative activities)

Your qualifications:

The prerequisites for employment are a very good university degree and a very good doctorate in philosophy, with an AOS in Metaphysics. The ability to lecture in German is preferred. Furthermore, you should preferably have already taught in philosophy, be creative and able to work in a team, be result-oriented and enjoy taking on new challenges.

You will be employed within the framework of the TV-L (up to E 13), if the civil service requirements are met in A13. The position is initially limited to three years (with a possible extension of three years).
