The future holder of the professorship is expected to have an independent research profile in philosophy with a clear focus on philosophy education. In addition, we welcome further systematic or historical specializations that complement the subject profile in a meaningful way. In teaching, the candidate is expected to design and coordinate a new study program for the subject of philosophy/ethics and to further develop the existing minor subject. Participation in the bachelor's and master's programs in philosophy (major and minor) is desirable.
Prerequisites for this position are a university degree, a doctoral degree or a comparable specific qualification, teaching skills at university level, excellent academic achievements as well as a productive and promising research program. In addition to a high level of qualification in philosophy, the successful applicant should have acquired the qualification for a teaching post in the respective subject and should be able to provide evidence of at least three years' experience at a school or comparable educational institution.
In the case of appointment as a civil servant, the age of 52 must not be reached at the time of appointment. Exceptions may be made in urgent cases.
