About us:

The Research and Teaching Unit of Professor Neil Thurman at the Department of Media and Communication (IfKW) is looking for a motivated student assistant to support our research projects and teaching in the fields of journalism studies, computational journalism, media innovation and change, and media audience research starting as soon as possible.

We are looking for you:

Student assistant to support our research projects (m/f/x)

in Munich

Your tasks and responsibilities:

  • Conducting literature research and preparing summaries
  • Assisting with data collection and processing
  • Providing general organisational support in research projects and teaching.

Your qualifications:

You are a Communication Studies student or a student in a similar social science field. You have:

  • Excellent English skills (written and spoken)
  • Solid knowledge of social science research methods
  • High motivation for scientific work and interest in one or more of the following fields: journalism studies, computational journalism, media innovation and change, and media audience research
  • Reliability, an independent work style, and flexibility
  • Communication and teamwork skills.
