  • You will clone various human ion channels and optimize their expression and purification with the goal to purify functional, high-purity and -quality channel proteins for cryo-EM and other biophysical experiments (such as single-channel recordings).
  • You will make cryo-EM preparations and screen these using either cryo-EM or negative-stain EM.
  • You will select the best specimens for cryo-EM data collection and then process the data to high-resolution maps.
  • You will use these maps to build molecular structural models.
  • Using this data, you will write manuscripts for publication in high-impact peer-reviewed scientific journals.
  • You will present your data at conferences.
