Our lab at LMU Munich has openings for prospective PhD students as well as postdoc positions. Our lab at LMU Munich has openings for prospective PhD students as well as postdoc positions. Join us to study ion channel structure and function using a combination of cryo-electron microscopy and other biophysical methods. We are looking for hard-working scientists (PhD students and postdocs) to join our lab – ideally with prior experience in mammalian cell culture work, molecular biology, protein biochemistry and/or structural biology (of any sort).
We are a newly established lab with easy access to any needed cryo-EM preparation tool (provided by our lab) as well as to cryo-EM screening (across the road) and collection facilities (short public transport ride away). Live in one of Europe's most vibrant cities whilst conducting research at the top-ranked university in Germany (ARWU Shanghai Ranking 2024). The compensation is based on TV-L group 13 (see also Entgelttabelle des Tarifsvertrags der Länder, with levels to be determined based on applicant’s expertise).
