About us:

The Department of Mathematics at Ludwig Maximilian University in Munich has a vacancy for a postdoctoral position in financial and insurance mathematics.

We are looking for you:

Postdoctoral Position in Financial and Insurance Mathematics (m/f/d) (m/f/x)

in Munich

Your tasks and responsibilities:

The successful candidate will conduct research in the areas of financial and insurance mathematics, with possible topics including model uncertainty, green finance, and machine learning with applications to the modelling of financial and insurance markets.

Your qualifications:

You have an excellent doctorate in mathematics and very sound knowledge of finance and insurance mathematics, very good analytical skills, a high level of commitment, very good knowledge of English, the ability to work in a team, and an independent approach to work. 5 hours of teaching per week with the option of extension up to 3 years if the evaluation ist positive.
