The Mock Lab is based at the Institute of Pathology, LMU, in the vibrant heart of Munich (Thalkirchner Str. 36, 80337 Munich). We are a dynamic and interdisciplinary team of cancer researchers driven by a passion for clinical translation. We are looking for you:
PhD in Clinical Cancer Biology and Bioinformatics (m/f/x)
in Munich
Your tasks and responsibilities:
- Get wet lab insights and analyze data from single-cell techniques (snRNA-seq, 10x Genomics) and spatial biology methods (sequential immunofluorescence with Lunaphore COMET; spatial transcriptomics with Xenium, 10x Genomics)
- Perform and analyze Illumina-based next-generation sequencing (Novaseq XP)
- Play a leading role in analyzing quantitative biological data and guide others in its interpretation.
Your qualifications:
- A Master degree (or equivalent) in bioinformatics, informatics, physics, immunology, molecular biology, biomedicine, or related science fields
- Experience in molecular biology and next-generation sequencing
- Extensive proficiency in quantitative data analysis and programming skills in relevant languages (e.g. R and/or Python)
- Strong command of English
- An open and outgoing personality with exceptional teamwork skills
- Ability to think critically and work independently.
