Full Professorship (W3) of Childhood, Youth and Youth Welfare Research combined with the position as Chairperson of the Executive Board and Director at DJI

commencing as soon as possible.

The Chairperson of the Executive Board and Director is responsible for the management of the German Youth Institute (DJI) with its approximately 400 employees and represents it externally. According to the statutes, the management of the Institute is the responsibility of the Board of Directors, which includes the Director, the Research Director and the Administrative Director.

At LMU Munich, the person to be appointed should represent the field of educational science in research and teaching at the Faculty of Psychology and Educational Sciences. The teaching load is two hours per week.

LMU Munich and DJI seek to appoint an outstandingly qualified personality with an excellent record in research and teaching. Prerequisites for this position are a university degree and a doctoral degree or a comparable specific qualification. Prospective candidates will have demonstrated the potential for an outstanding academic career and have sound experience in policy advice, especially in the field of child and youth welfare services. We are looking for a person with strong leadership, research and organizational skills and a high academic reputation in the social sciences, educational science or psychology.

The future holder of this position will be appointed to LMU Munich as a university professor (pay grade W3) and will be granted leave of absence in order to be employed by DJI as Chairperson of the Executive Board and Director.
