We are looking for you:

Doctoral/Post-Doctoral Position (50%) English Historical Linguistics / English Medieval Studies (m/f/x)

in Munich

Your tasks and responsibilities:

  • Execution in an independent dissertation or post-doc project in historical English linguistics or Old/Middle English literature
  • Course design and teaching in historical English linguistics or Old/Middle English literature (2,5 hours per week during term time)
  • Participation in research and publication projects, conference and outreach activities
  • Participation in student assessment and mentoring as well as associated administrative responsibilities

Your qualifications:

  • MA/PhD in English Linguistics or English Literature and Cultures of the English Middle Ages (for PhDs: PhD must have been completed in 2022 at the latest)
  • ca. 5-page proposal for a dissertation or post-doc project in historical English linguistics or Old or Middle English literature
  • high level of competence in Old and/or Middle English
  • fluency in English, German language skills (B2), Latin language skills
