About us:

The Biocenter at LMU Munich invites applications for a PhD position within the DFG funded Transregional Collaborative Research Center TRR175, under the supervision of PD Dr. Serena Schwenkert (chair molecular plant biology • Prof. Dr. Dario Leister). The collaborative research project focuses on elucidating the molecular mechanisms of plant acclimation to changing environmental conditions.

Doctoral researcher in Plant Science (m/f/x)

in Planegg-Martinsried

Your tasks and responsibilities:

The PhD candidate will elucidate the function elucidate of novel transport proteins utilizing molecular biology, protein biochemistry, and advanced 'omics techniques. The work will be carried out in close collaboration with other TRR175 research groups, and findings will be presented at scientific conferences and published in peer-reviewed journals.

Your qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Biology or Biochemistry, or a related field
  • Experience with molecular laboratory methods and/or data analysis is beneficial
  • High level of motivation and scientific curiosity
  • Proficiency in English (both written and spoken).
